High Serria Mountian Lake 52x 36x .75 acrylic on canvas $485

This is a large 3 by 4 foot canvas painted outside in California sun on my old roommate Andy's front lawn.   This canvas has been hanging in a hospital in Califonia.   I recently drove this and several other paintings across country a week ago in my old beat up Honda.     We made it, car still mostly intact.     This painting stems from the high Sierra backpacking trips I did with Daniel and his friends back in 2001, 2002.   It was a hard, rugged trip, check out Boot Trax journals page for details.

Mountain ridges 20x 16x 1.5 $125

From the 2004 North Carolina/ Tennisse Boot trax journal, a story about a through-hiker hiking along the some 2100 miles on the Appilation trail.

I got the fire going on the second try and burned much, much wood. My body felt good, I dried out and cooked my dinner. I read the registration journals, opened it to a random page. Jan 28/03 “It was a good hike 4-5 inches of snow, very peaceful.” Next entry was typed out on a sticker and stuck onto the page. “Hello I am called ease-one I am 81 years old and I am completing my fifth completion of the trail. My first two times section hiking, the last three times as a through hiker. I wear a blue pack, carry two sticks and will be going slow. If you see me, stop and say hello, and believe me, it just doesn’t get any better then this. Enjoy your hike.” That 81 year old was finishing up his through hike in January. I thought about this entry a lot in the day to follow.

Mary Jane Mountain, Winter Park Colorado 16x 20x 1.5 acrylic on canvas $125

I lived out in Colorado for the ski season back in 1999.   Nadiem, a very good friend lived and worked close to the Winterpark ski resort.   We both had season passes and spent every weekend on the slopes.    This is a faviote lunch spot about half way down Hole in the Wall shoot.
